On June 17, the 500kV Circuit II Project from Qingyun to Jubaozhuang in Inner Mongolia, surveyed and designed by GEDI, was completed and put into operation.
The project starts from the Qingyun 500kV substation and ends at the Jubaozhuang 500kV substation, with a total line length of 70.6 km and 162 new towers, plus one 500kV outgoing line bay expanded at each of the Qingyun and Jubaozhuang substations. The project's completion ends the single-circuit operation of the Juqing Circuit I, significantly enhancing grid flexibility and reliability in southern Ulanqab. It effectively meets the rising load demand of Fengzhen Industrial Park in the Fengchuan Circular Economy Development Zone, providing robust power support for the development of an autonomous region-level Class I park, the implementation of key industrial projects, and high-quality local economic development.
During construction, to address challenges such as the power outage crossing of the 500kV Juqing Line I and the rerouting of the 220kV Fengrun Line III and Julv Line III, GEDI proposed a "T-connection + multi-span phase transposition" power transfer solution. This effectively improved construction efficiency, ensured safe and efficient progress, and earned high praise from all participating parties.
