Sanshan Island VI Offshore Wind Farm Project Completes Pile Driving for All Wind Turbine Foundations

On May 10, the Huadian Yangjiang Sanshan Island VI Offshore Wind Farm Project, constructed under an EPC contract by GEDI, completed the pile driving construction for all wind turbine foundations.

The Sanshan Island VI Project is the offshore wind power project currently under construction farthest from shore in China. Located in the waters south of Hailing Island in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province, it has a total installed capacity of 500 MW and plans to install 31 sets of 16.2MW WTGS. Once completed, the project is expected to provide approximately 1.6 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, which is of great significance for optimizing Guangdong Province's energy structure, advancing the realization of the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and promoting the green development of the regional economy.
