Recently, the China Applied Core Journals (2025 Edition) (CACJ) was officially released. Southern Energy Construction, a journal sponsored by GEDI, has been selected as an Authoritative Journal in the field of Energy, Power, and Materials.
The CACJ 2025 edition covers 17 industry sectors and 3 comprehensive categories. Within the field of Energy, Power, and Materials, a total of 4 journals were designated as Authoritative Journals, 20 as Core Journals, and 27 as Core (Extended) Journals. This recognition represents another significant milestone for Southern Energy Construction, underscoring its contributions to industry–academia–research collaboration and the translation of scientific and technological achievements into practical applications. The journal had previously been indexed as a CACJ Core Journal in its inaugural edition and an RCCSE Core Journal.
In recent years, the journal has focused on critical topics such as energy security, low-carbon transition, technological innovation, industrial development, and institutional reform in the energy sector. It actively supports the global open science movement and has been indexed in several major international databases, including Scopus, Inspec, DOAJ, EBSCO, JST, J-Gate, EuroPub, and Ulrichsweb.
