On December 31, 2025, the 500 kV double-circuit transmission line from Guosanliang to Delingshan in Inner Mongolia, engineered by GEDI, was successfully put into operation. This marks the full completion of Inner Mongolia's "four horizontal and six vertical" main power grid framework.
The 149.676-kilometer line connects Guosanliang 500 kV Substation in Ordos to Delingshan 500 kV Substation in Bayannur, featuring 339 new transmission towers and crossing the critical upper section of the n-shaped bend region of the Yellow River. Upon operation, the project further strengthens Inner Mongolia's 500 kV main power grid, enhances the transmission capacity for delivering power from the west to the east and from the north to the south, and enhances grid reliability while supporting the region's energy strategies.
