Recently, the Yangjiang Qingzhou V offshore wind farm project, led by GEDI as the EPC contractor, completed the construction of all wind turbine foundation steel pipe piles.
The project reaches up to 90 kilometers offshore and 52.5 meters in water depth. It has a total installed capacity of 1000 MW, comprising 59 offshore wind turbines of 12 MW each and 23 turbines of 13 MW each. To tackle the complex conditions in the remote and deep-sea areas, the project team adopt lightweight suction bucket jacket technology, improving the efficiency of steel pipe pile installation and completing all 82 sets of pile driving for efficient project promotion.
Upon completion, the project will provide 3.8 billion kWh of green electricity annually, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 3 million tons, delivering significant energy-saving and emission-reduction benefits. It will lay a solid foundation for the energy structure transformation and upgrading in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and serve as an exemplary model for the green and efficient utilization of marine resources and the development of the marine economy.
