Dongguan Gaobu GTCC Expansion Project Put into Full Operation

On June 29, the Gaobu GTCC Expansion Project of Dongguan Shenran Natural Gas Thermoelectricity Co., Ltd., a project with GEDI as its EPC contractor, was put into full operation.

In this project, two sets of 470MW (9F) gas-steam combined-cycle units are newly built. After full completion, its annual power generation will reach 3.3 billion kWh, enhancing Dongguan's electricity supply. The annual heating capacity will reach 5.83 million GJ, providing centralized heat guarantee for surrounding enterprises. The project will promote the orderly development of green and clean energy, and helping the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.

In this project, GEDI focused on innovative engineering practices characterized by superior quality and enhanced aesthetics. The team employed extensive industrial concealing solutions to harmonize industrial aesthetics with spatial efficiency deeply, providing a compelling model for the efficient utilization of industrial land.

In intelligent integration, the project has utilized the proprietary three-dimensional digital supervision model and the digital twin platform for gas power stations developed by GEDI. These implementations enabled comprehensive and efficient coordination across all project construction phases with real-time dynamic control capabilities available on a centralized dashboard. Additionally, this system has facilitated integrating construction processes with BIM modeling for complete lifecycle scenario applications. Besides, the project has established an advanced industrial Internet platform for smart power plants, significantly enhancing the safety management standards and operational efficiency of the power plant.
