Huizhou 100MW Energy Storage Station Achieves Full-Capacity Grid Connection

On July 19, the CGN New Energy Huizhou Electrochemical Energy Storage Station, undertaken by GEDI as the EPC Contractor, achieved full-capacity grid connection and was successfully put into operation. This marks a significant advancement in new energy storage within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

This station is Huizhou's first grid-side independent shared energy storage facility and Guangdong's first 100MW-level lithium iron phosphate (LFP) electrochemical energy storage system with a 1C charge-discharge rate. Upon completion, the station will primarily provide peak-shaving and frequency regulation auxiliary services, power market spot trading, and renewable energy leasing, effectively contributing to load balancing. It will alleviate grid supply pressure during peak periods, smoothing out renewable energy generation curves, and significantly enhance power supply stability.
