On July 15, the Haikou 220kV Guoxing (Binjiang) Substation, surveyed and designed by GEDI, was officially completed and put into operation.

This substation is Hainan's first scenic-type open landscape substation. It combines multiple functions including safe power supply, urban landscape, public interaction, and science popularization. Breaking the traditional model of closed-off industrial substations, it makes rational use of available space, and promotes the further construction of an integrated environmental monitoring station and a Beidou augmentation station in a multi-station scenario, which improves the current urban substation land utilization rate and power distribution resources utilization rate. It adopts a multi-dimensional approach to greening, alongside low-loss, high-efficiency equipment, and light guide and silent technology, achieving environmental protection in terms of both green and low-carbon aspects.
