Recently, the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) held the 13th IET International Conference on Advances in Power System Control, Operation and Management (APSCOM) in Hong Kong. GEDI was invited to participate in the conference and organize Panel Session: High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Technology.
IET is one of the most influential comprehensive engineering science and technology organizations in the world. As a landmark event of IET Hong Kong, APSCOM was initiated in 1990 and has become a well-recognized academic brand in the field of energy and power in the Asia-Pacific region.
APSCOM 2025, centered around "Embracing Next Generation Technologies towards a Flexible, Reliable, Resilient & Sustainable Power Grid", invited the world's top experts, industry leaders, and young scholars to share cutting-edge scientific research results and engineering practices, and contribute smart solutions to global energy transformation and sustainable development.
In the Panel Session organized by GEDI, technical experts from GEDI and other organizations focused on core issues such as HVDC transmission system planning, large-scale offshore wind power transmission, key technologies supporting high-proportion new energy external transmission, and grid-forming technologies, sharing innovative solutions and in-depth thinking in the industry. The session is highly praised by the conference organizers, industry, and academia.
