The 500kV grid connection project for the CHN Energy Qingyuan Power Plant Phase II, surveyed and designed by GEDI, has recently been completed and is now in operation.
As a flagship initiative under Guangdong Province's 14th Five-Year Plan, the project starts from Qingyuan Power Plant, traverses Qingyuan, Shaoguan, and Guangzhou, and links to the Guangzhou 500kV Kebei Substation. The new transmission line stretches 209.073 kilometers with 445 towers newly erected along the route. With the project now operational, electricity from Qingyuan Power Plant will reach the core load area of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in milliseconds, powering the region's high-quality economic and social growth.
