Huaneng Dongguan Gas Turbine Phase II Project Fully Completed and Put into Operation

Recently, the Huaneng Dongguan Gas Turbine Phase II project, surveyed and designed by GEDI, was fully completed and put into operation.

The project involves the expansion of two 498.48 MW (9F) gas-steam combined cycle pure condensing peak-shaving power generation units. Upon full completion, the project will become a backbone power supply in Dongguan, with an annual power generation of 4 billion kWh. It can save about 330,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon emissions by 1.3 million tons each year, thereby further optimizing the regional power supply structure, enhancing energy supply security, and facilitating the green transformation of the energy structure and high-quality economic development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
