Recently, National Energy Administration announced a list of typical cases of green and low-carbon transition of energy. The Zaozhuang - Heze Expressway Transportation and Energy Integration Demonstration Project in Shandong is recognized as a typical case of new modes of green energy supply. GEDI led the EPC contracting in the construction of the Project.
The project is the first whole-expressway transportation and energy integration demonstration project in China. GEDI has participated in the whole process, including its site planning, technical route compilation and EPC construction. The project characterized by integration of power supplies, power grid, loads and energy storage has, for the first time in China, realized the large-scale construction of PV facilities on expressway slopes, the application of low-carbon (or evenly zero-carbon) intelligent service areas, and the development and application of an expressway energy system integrating power supplies, grid, loads and storage. It can generate about 2.89 billion kWh clean power in its whole running period, or 136 million kWh clean power each year upon its completion, supporting environment-friendly transportation and achieving significant social benefits.
