On December 17, Xuwen Offshore Wind Farm 300MW Expansion Project in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, constructed by GEDI under an EPC contract, achieved full capacity grid connection.
The project has a total installed capacity of 300MW, featuring 25 units of 12MW wind turbines, and includes the construction of a 220kV offshore step-up substation. Upon completion, the project will provide 899 million kWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to a reduction of about 723,300 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. This is significant for driving the transformation and upgrade of the energy structure in Guangdong province, and accelerating the achievement of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.
