On December 8, the Erzihao 500 kV Power Transmission and Transformation Project surveyed and designed by GEDI was fully completed and put into operation, paving a new channel for green power transmission in the desert hinterland.

In this project, the design team of GEDI embraced 3D digital design and advanced investigation methods such as remote sensing imagery, digital elevation models (DEM), unmanned aerial vehicles and laser radar, in combination with local environmental factors, to conduct thorough research and demonstrations on the features of 500 kV power lines and station process units. This approach enable the creation of a one-key sequential control intelligent substation design scheme tailored for the project.

At the same time, Erzihao Substation is also the first digital twin intelligent substation in Inner Mongolia Power Grid. The deployment and application of digital twin platform in the station can realize visual display, intelligent patrol, intelligent operation, intelligent safety and other scenario applications of substation maintenance.
