On October 18, Huizhou Power Plant Phase II Gas-fired Cogeneration Project surveyed and designed by GEDI was fully completed and put into operation, adding new momentum to the green and low-carbon development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Two sets of 9F improved gas-steam combined cycle units have been built in the Project. Upon completion, the Project will effectively enhance the power support capacity of Huizhou City and meet the thermal load demand of Daya Bay Petrochemical Zone, with an annual power generation capacity reaching 3.846 billion kWh and an annual heat supply of 7.27 million GJ. It will also improve the comprehensive utilization rate of energy, and have a positive significance for accelerating the implementation of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.
In the design process of the Project, GEDI has given full play to its technical advantages in the field of gas-fired power generation and realized that the main indicators such as combined cycle efficiency, auxiliary power consumption rate and emission concentration under standard working conditions reach the leading level among similar units in China through innovative design.
The Project adopts the optimized layout of the first 9F complex plant building with cross-compound middle-positioned platform in China. In addition, through multiple optimization measures such as the maximum integration and utilization of resources throughout the plant, the foundation treatment of the whole plant, and the waste heat utilization of flue gas at the tail of the waste heat boiler, the power plant has significant economic and environmental benefits.
