The Largest Region-serving Single Fishery-PV Integrated Project in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Connected to Grid

On December 28, Phase I of the 500MW Fishery-PV Power Generation Project was successfully connected to grid.

The Haiyan Project has total installed capacity of 500MW and occupies land area of approx. 6,500mu. It is the single largest region-serving fishery-PV integrated project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. After full commissioning, the project will have annual power output of 543 millionkWh, which is enough to support annual electricity consumption of 110,000 households. Compared with the coal-fired power plant of the same scale,, it can save about 193,000 tons of standard coal and reduce about 534,000 tons of carbon dioxide every year, which is equivalent to the carbon sink of about 75,000 mu of forest in the Greater Bay Area, and also equivalent to planting trees in 20% of the area under the jurisdiction of Haiyan Town.

The project is a dynamic integration of PV power generation and fish aquaculture, "generating power from above and breeding from below", realizing efficient utilization and ecological development of coastal tidal flat resources and significantly increasing the economic value of sea area per unit area.
